Jeff’s love of food was realized in Peoria, IL, by opening a deli with his cousin. During the day Jeff would craft sandwiches but during the night, he satisfied his comedic bug playing the role of ‘Tony’ in Tony and Tina’s Wedding.
Jeff graduated culinary school in California as Valedictorian and returned to Chicago where he worked as a culinary instructor and private chef. Eventually, he landed himself on Season 7 of Food Network Star and won.
Jeff went onto host Food Network’s Emmy-nominated series, Sandwich King, $24 in 24 hrs. and The Scoop. Mauro is a co-host of Food Network’s two-time EMMY nominated series, The Kitchen and its spin off, The Kitchen Sink.
When not making TV, Jeff loves spending time with his wife and first love Sarah, playing above average blues guitar and roughhousin’ with his son and co-star Lorenzo. His favorite color is pastrami.
